stock injectors and fuel pump w/ lt4 cam kit

quick question. I plan on installing the lt4 cam kit as well as porting the heads in my m6 z28 and was wondering if the stock injectors and fuel pump can handle this cam package with a good tune or will they have to be changed so i dont bottleneck the potential of the package. Also just out of curiosity, what would this package run with a 4.10 moser, full exhaust, and some rear suspension upgrades.

You should be just fine with the stock injectors and fuel pump. I have a similar cam and head work and it runs fine with the stock injectors and pump. You should run in the low 8's in the 1/8th mile I think with your mods and a good tune and good shifts. From what I have seen most LT1's with hotcam kit have made around 340-350 to the wheels with a M6. If you haven't already purchased the kit hold off and check this guy out. He will give you A LOT more for your money. Phone: 972-617-5671

There are guys making SERIOUS reliable power with Elliot's work. Good luck.

wow, thanks, i definetly will be a lloyd customer once i get my personal loan from the bank. Im glad you brought that to my attention. With all the good numbers ive seen from his stuff i figured it would be expensive but that price is awesome especially for getting assembled heads and a cam for only 1100 or 1600 for the le2

Yea you will definately put down some nasty power with his kits. I will hopefully have one one day. I just think the LT4 kit is kind of a waste of money when you can get more HP for half the price. Glad I could help, Chris.

I've got $700 total into everything for the hotcam swap. So you're saying I can get a Lloyd Elliot setup for $350?

He was thinking of the heads/cam/intake kit..... the 2400$ one. Thats why he said half price 2400$ vs 1100 for the LE1.

Oh and as for your question stock pump and stock injectors will be good. Send the injectors off to be cleaned and flowed while you are doing the install. Test your fuel pump pressure too to make sure its up to the task.

My HOTcam/ported head setup was showing around 93% duty cycle on a datalogger when I still had it(stock injectors). That's marginal, so I guess if you feel comfortable with that then leave the injectors. If you have some extra money laying around you can buy 32 lb/hr injectors for $29 each from racetronix.com.
