Hey, Steve...Didn't we show how quick the "Bolt-On" LT1's will go about 2 years ago?...LOL

For all interested, Steve and I were both at GM High Tech Performances "Bolt-On LT1" shootout a few years ago. It was an invitational for the 12 quickest bolt-on cars in the country.

A torque convertor's a power adder....

*snicker* and running away..

Oh.. And best time w/ stock manifolds and cats in place, just a cut out cold air and drag radials.. 13.01@106mph. If I could'a had a sub 2.0 60', would've been a 12 for sure.

my times are with stock rockers, heads, cam, full weight, every option car. With stock exhaust manifolds, through a cat and with a da of 950....I dont know anyone with a faster 6spd bolt on lt1 with stock manifolds(correct me if i'm wrong) or any LT1 for that matter...once i get my LT's, dyno tuned, skinnies, and some killer air i will own the fasted bolt on LT1 in the world. Roughly 11.90's @113 i'm figuring. And it will have a 6spd, not stripped, and with stock rockers. I'm still own my origional clutch too!

You're awfully confident. July 11th at Maple Grove Raceway, Camaros and Firebirds at the Grove. That's my event that I've been planning for 6 months now.

Come down and prove it.

113mph on stock heads and cam? Good luck.

I think it is going to be hard to top SAR2K. You don't really know what he did to achieve those times. It's NOT easy.

There is a guy on mfba.org that went 12.6 @ 109 w/ a 93 6-speed w/ 4.10's, gutted cat, intake and ported throttle body I believe, I think some kind of exhaust too but on stock manifolds.

Some of those times are rediculous ... Your car has to be hurting after a couple of runs like that lol ... Im gonna assume you guys powershifted them, and hurt the stock rear pretty bad to get times like that ...

he better have tall tires, cause 109 mph on a stock LT1 with 4.10s isnt possible, unless if he shifted into 5th, which i highly doubt

13.56 @100.9 (2.02 60)
With only Mac shroties, B&Btriflo catback, Moroso CAI and free mods.
Stock tires, stock 3:23s stock stall, never had the valve covers off at that point. According to the scale at the track race weight was 3890.
I had 3/4 tank of gas 100 pounds of subs in the hatch and i weigh 190. 60 ish degrees, last run of the night after several 13.8 runs let it cool an hour or so. 0 track prep.
US41 Dragway 69X feet above sea level.

My trap speed isnt supposed to happen w/ my mods and an auto either, but hey crazier things have happened.

I'm hoping for 113.. i dont know if i'll get there.. And I am confident. honestly I dont know anyone who can shift better then me. And I do powershift and I do have a Moser 12 bolt. I'm going through the traps at about 5600 or so. I'm gonna need alot more work to get to the record(clutch/flywheel, remove sway bar, remove weight, headers/offroad pipes, dyno tune, skinnies, killer air etc) but I truly think i can do it. And that event at maple grove sounds good..i might just be there..

And I really wish my headers would get here...I dont think i'll have them in time for the meet which will suck but i still might come...I'll be no where close to 11's without them..I'll be in the same tune as when i ran 12.7's...

You said you're going to remove weight in this post, but in the other you said it won't be stripped?

Anyway, I'd like to see you make the effort.
