Stock engine recommended modifications???

I've got a 1994 Z28 Camaro LT1 A4. It had the 2.73 gears I've changed them out for 3.73's just recently. Thats the only mod other than an aftermarket cat back exhaust that the car has. I was just wonder what other mods might be recommended. Its pretty much bone stock with 164k miles on it, mostly highway miles. Should I put a mild cam? stall converter? Looking for opinions, money is somewhat tight so there is a budget with this project. So a hopped up rebuild with a dyno tune and large cam, bigger injectors and huge fuel pump would be more out of the question. I'm an ASE master and an engineer, so pretty much any repair is not too big for me. Thanks in advance. I'm trying to keep the fuel management system stock other than a tune through the hypertech power programmer.

Before diving into the mild cam, get the basics done first. Get a cold air intake and a good set of headers to go along with the catback. You may also want to consider a better tune over the Hypertech programmer.

I've got a little over $1000 to spend. I was thinking, Edelbrock performer rpm air gap manifold, LT4 cam, headers??? Pro's cons?

If you buy the manifold, you will be tossing away your money right now. The LT4 Hotcam Kit is a good way to go as are the headers, but that will push you over your budget. Just the header setup alone can easily start to escalate towards the 1000 dollar mark.

3000 stall
CAI
cutout JUST behind the passenger front tire
Drag radials.

You'd easily hit 12s.
