stock deck height lt1 block

on a stock lt1 block how many thousandths does the piston sit down in the cylinder, going to try to figure new compression ratio, and btw the search function is not working thanks

Most are around .026 to .030 stock.

That's odd..... I just typed "deck height" in the "search" screen and got 25 hits.

Please post LT1 questions on LT1/LT4 Engine Tech..... I'll move the thread there for you.

Stroke = 3.480"/2 = 1.740"
Rod = 5.700"
Piston CH = 1.550"
Total = 8.990"
Stock deck = ~9.020" to 9.025"
9.025"-8.990" = 0.035"
9.020"-8.990" = 0.030"
