Stock or AFR Heads

Iam deciding on what i should do for the heads, Have the stock ones ported or get the AFR heads, What kind of gains will i get from the AFR'S compaired to the stock ported ones. Iam building a 383 motor with GM847 cam.

What would be even better is to get those AFR's ported.

really it depends on what AFR heads you are considering for your 383? AFR 210's would be MORE than sufficient and there is no way stock setup heads would compare to AFR's heads. Not saying you can't do a lot with stock heads because you can, but bang for your buck and getting it done right, AFR is hard to beat.

Stay with your stock heads. I had my sock casting heads max ported and the support 557 FWHP.
