Angry Still can't get into the 12s!

Mods in the sig plus Nitto DRs, last night I took two runs, did a nice smokey burnout at 19psi and dumped the clutch at 4K and then at 3K and both times they spun and then hooked up netting a 2.1 short time. 1st run was a 13.17@108 and second run was 13.24 at 108. What psi should I try running today?

Granted I haven't hooked well yet with nittos, but try about 20 PSI. I smoked my clutch last time at the track, which I am also blaming for my bad short times.

I feel your pain about the 12's, I'm knocking on the door too. Same deal, need more traction.

You may have to break down and buy a pair of ET Streets...that's what I did...NO TRACTION PROBLEMS...

Get some suspension done.....$400 and you're in the 12s.

Try taking the front sway bar lose to help with rear traction.....you get the 60' down to 1.9 and your in the 12s. Burn those nittos a good 4 or 5 secs.

Which ET streets did you get? How well do they hook? Is your rear end still in one piece? I want to get some ET streets for when I hit the track, but that would mandate a ds safetly loop, correct? Thanks.

My car went in the 12's with both Nitto drag radials and M/T ET Streets...Stock engine, and suspension...Except lack of front sway bar.
Major, or costly suspension mods aren't needed to cut good 60 ft. times. Some mods are more hype than useful.
My 60's are in the 1.7X range with the ET Streets...My best being a 1.73...Stock LCA's, torque arm, 94,000 mile factory shocks, and no frame connectors.

Are you still running the front sway bar? Taking mine off did wonders for my 60 ft. No, it doesn't affect everyday handling. I don't think I'd want to go road racing without it, but I don't think I'd want to go road racing with 3 1/2" wide front tires, or wrinklewall rear tires either...

Put more air in the Nittos...Mine liked higher air pressure. 25-27 # They also DIDN'T like long burnouts.

MY ET Streets were 26x10.5x15 last year. Stepping up to 26x11.5x15 this year.

If you want to see pictures of a stock suspension/engine car pulling the drivers side front wheel...Check here.
