What is all required in installing a starter on my 95 z28 with hooker LTs?? Does the header need to come off??

 

No, nothing needs to be removed.

Starter replacement should take about 15 minutes. Disconnect battery cable, disconnect two wires on the starter, remove the two starter bolts, replaced & reverse of removal.

Bolts are 9/16.

Power lead is a 1/2" nut

Small purple cable is a 8mm nut.

 

Even with hookers and my canton pan the starter still goes off/on pretty easy. Should drop straight out.
