ST chambered muffler -vs- Summit chambered muffler

anyone have a side-by-side comparison between a ST chambered mufler and a Summit chambered muffler? im looking mostly for the straight-thru view to see the difference in the inner baffles.

Re: ST chambered muffler -vs- Summit chambered muffler

i had both.

STs are large triangles
summit (actually made by stainlessworks) are much smaller, about half the size. has better welds/quality, also heavier and twice the price.

both sound very similar.

yeah i spoke to you when you had the 18" ST's dumped with an X-pipe and you said they were way too loud. Did going with the 30" Summit's help?

well he has a pretty built up motor so its probably louder than a stock LT1 will be... although I have heard the 18's are really loud as well from the guy who sells them... I think I will go for the 24's if I can.

ford is running the 3"in/3"out 18" ST mufflers with an H-pipe and dumped with his duals. sounds unbelievable!

BTW which direction do the mufflers face in the exhaust with the open end of the little triangles along the inner wal facing the exhaust upstream or facing downstream?

id imagine the openings of the baffles should face 'upstream,' or towards the engine.
