Question carrier and gear swap

im going to be purchasing a 3 series carrier and 3.73 gears both together. they were installed together and came off the car together. ring gear is already on carrier still. im just wondering what all i have to do to install this into my car when i take out my old 2 series carrier and 2.73's. will it just bolt in or will there be alot of tinkering and adjusting to do.
i dont know much of anything about the rearend so sorry if these questions sound stupid.
thanks

No two housings though are identical, It will bolt in, but still measure the backlash to make sure its in the spec.
