ss intake looks good but I think the cold air intake works just as good. I did not notice the difference when I went from a cold air kit to a functional ss ram air kit. I think the best set up is to modify your set up for a ls1 type intake.

The overwhelming consensus over the past 14 years of debating this topic is that an aftermarket CAI will provide slightly more gains than the stock SS setup.

This is all good to hear as I just swapped out my SS intake for a cold air setup as I cant run a Strut tower brace with the intake on. I wish there was a wa to modify things to make the SS hood fuctional with a strut tower brace.

You haven't been around the f-body world long have you? They've been making STBs for SS cars since they made SSs. Look at BMR, Spohn, etc. Everyone carries them.

Buddy of mine had a Hotchkis shock (no struts on a 4th Gen ) tower brace on his 30th Anniv. SS convertible almost from the day he bought it new in 97, with the stock SS intake ducting intact.

I would recommend using one of the site supporting vendors. There are several who can hook you up.

What about those of us who don't have SS cars.
