I have a squeaking sound coming from the driver side rear what could it be. Someone told me it could be the shock or an exhaust hanger broke. Does anyone else have this problem? My car (which is a 1997 trans am) and my friends car (which is a 1999 camaro z28) both do it.

The rear springs tend to squeak on their bottom perches. I put some grease right there and it stopped.
