Thanks guys, engine is out today. I will definently go with one of the springs mentioned here. Im taking several pictures so you guys can see them.

 

dude get the sdpc springs part #SDL1600VS. its the pac1218 spring just with a different name. costs $123. if you call them they will even tell you pac manufactures them. pac used to make the comp 918s too but then comp switched manufacturers and thats when they started having all the problems. i was in the same boat as you but after a friend told me about the sdpc being the same as the pac 1218 for way cheaper i went with those.
