It was a track only car. i ran constant high 10's all motor. His compression ratio is what killed me 14.0 to1. 650rwhp all motor.

well the only reason a longer stroke motor doesn't (note doesn't , not cant) is due to the fact that the longer stroke creates more vacuum at lower rpms (read: sucks in more air) and therefore that same powerband is pushed down and "torqued."

I've seen big blocks rev beyond what both you claim so

a callies dragonslayer crank propperly ballanced will have ZERO problems spinning to 8000 rpm. again, not issue because first off his pcm wont allow him to rev byond 7k and LT1 castings unless ported by Jesus himself wont go past 7k or so. I'm fairly confident he would have mentioned DFI/F.A.S.T. system or AFR 220's and again, another reason why he doesn't need a solid roller.

if his cam was big enough, he might be able to pull 94 octane off in 14:1 CR (if its good heads and maybe an LT1)

someone here is running over 13:1 static on 92 i think

On the 4.56 comment i said if he stuck with the t56. Plus as long as you have power to pull the car the gears the gears arent really gonna limit you. He also said he wanted to run on 93 octane 11.5:1 is gonna be pushing it. Your right lighter rods arent really gonna add that much more power but they will make the car rev so much faster.

I've built a 355, that's what I'm running now. It's blown though, so it has power all the time. If your going to run only nitrous, a bigger engine such as a 383 or 396 may be a better alternative.

I would highly recommend getting a complete forged bottom end with 4 bolt mains. I was unable to do this when building my engine a few years back due to money issues, but I would do it now in heinsight. I ended up reusing the stock crank, and it has held up so far to lots of abuse, but I expect it to not last forever. At least change out the rods and pistons.

A good idea would be to buy a complete forged rotating assembly kit that is prebalanced for you. This would set you back around $2500, but it is money well spent. You will need to spend another $500 to have the 4 bolt mains installed on the block.
Run head studs too, not bolts.

actually they will, you do not want to go into 5th in a t-56 in a drag race they WILL limit you. t-56 or 4L60 or TH400-
4.56 gear means 110ish trap speeds in your final gear (that you want to be in)

11.5 is nothing. stop worrying, its static compression, dynamic will be where it should be.

if it revs up faster, it has more power. the more power you have the faster the rpms will accelerate. i dont quite think you know what you are talking about, maybe its just me

Where is my money Reuter! You never got the opti to us after three weeks (supposed to have been here in three days).

Doesn't get here after a week and a half, we posted, you said it was a mistake, we gave you the benefit of the doubt and waited another week and a half. No opti still so we had to buy another one.

You said you would send the check back, we said send it, and now YOU CASHED OUR CHECK?!?! What is going on?!?! Paypal the money back to madelisle@yahoo.com today if you are an honest man.
