Some questions for those with Delteq...

Since i haev to redo most of ignition on the car my lady says why not just get the delteq so heres some questions...

1) over the valve vs under radiator mount

2) Instead of getting there wires from Delteq, would MSD 8.5mm wires be better?

3) If you have Pacesetter LTs, how was your wiring?

4) Gimme your comments and all.

Also i think i read somewhere that Delteq sends 2 sparks to each spark plug, or i could be wrong. WOuld this have any problem with a N2O setup?

Re: Some questions for those with Delteq...

The Delteq does not send two sparks to each plug... it fires two cylinders simultaneously. One is on the compression stroke, and ignites. The other is on the exhaust stroke, and the spark is "wasted" - that's why its called a "waste spark" system. That will not have any detrimental affect on a nitrous motor.

Re: Some questions for those with Delteq...

I am using the radiator mount and love it, you cant see the system at all. I also have Grotyohan 1 3/4 long tube headers. I did go with the MSD 8.5 Super Conductor wires myself. There is nothing wrong with the ones supplied with the kit, MSD is just my preferance. I do have some pics of the setup on my car, if someone would host them I would gladly send them. I also went with the NGK TR-6 Iridium plugs. This is definitly one kick *** ignition!

Hi if you need custom spark-plug wires for the delteq set up it's no problem. We can make up any configuration to match your preference and we offer different colors too. (Full details will be posted on the company web site soon).
We make the spark-plug wires a little longer because each set up is a little different and some like to run the wires under the headers then over them.

If you have any question please contact us at (561) 214-4879.
