So i took of my opti and..
it also didnt start
I don't get it
The goal was to leave the opti on the engine and see where the rotor was pointing. This eliminates a misaligned rotor as the cause of your problem.
You still haven't answered if the engine ran prior to you changing the opti.
If you use the damage wire and it misfires, you won't know for sure what the cause of the rough running will be.
Based on what you have done to this point and the questions you ask, this job is best left to a repair shop. I'm out of here.
I think you are frustrating most of the people who are trying to help you, by not reading carefully.
Where did it say to remove the opti and then remove the cap?????

Keep trying and at the same time listen to Shoebox and Injuneer. These guys know their stuff and are trying to help.

Alright i did put it to TDC on # 1 with the opti on and i took off the cap and it was at 6'oclock. i tried to turn on the car and it starteed up for like 6 seconds then it died.? wouldnt start again... . I was going 2 remove the opti and i found one of the bolts that goes to the timing cover loose. i pull it out and its broken?? i look at the other one and its also broken at the same spot. the bottom was isnt broken? The broken piece of the other bolt came out but the other one is stuck in there? how would i get this broken piece out?? Thanks
I would pull the timing cover off and back the bolts out. You will have to loosen the front oil pan bolts and then pull the cover (trying not to tear the oil pan gasket). I'm sure you can find a write-up on someone's website, as it has been a standard practice for changing cams for years.
