Should I spin past 6300 rpms with this set up?

Its that time of year again where the Z sits for a few months while she gets a lot of toys at the expense of my wallet.

Engine valve train will have complete a complete comp cams set up. Right now it has Comp R push rods, getting read to put in Comp R lifters, Comp 1.6 Pro Magnum rockers, Comp CC 305 cam, and all the steel retainers/locks etc.
Right now she revs to 6300 and the HP doesnt really start to drop.. Looks like for optimum average horsepower the car should rev more around 6500 rpms.
The car will have Phil's Advance induction econoport heads.

Even though I dont drive the car everyday I want it to be a daily driver if i have to. So with what I have do you think that 6500rpms is ok for a daily driven camaro with this valve train. Any parts im missing that aren't meant to spin this high? Mobile 1 synthetic is always used, and what are the chances of spinning a bearing?

Car will have around 385-395 wrhp when its done.

6500rpm isn't bad for the stock bottom end.

You should throw it on a dyno and see where it makes power.

I thought I would peak at 6000 rpm and actually I peak at 6230rpm. So I rev to 6600-6700rpm. But I have a different bottom end too.

That is the limit of a stock bottom end IMO. Anything over that is taking a big risk. I personally won't spin over 6300 even with a cam that makes power until 6500.

Some guys on the board are spinning to 6700 or even 6800 on a stock bottom end. I personally can't afford a rebuild though..
I might think about taking it to 6500 once or twice trying for that killer timeslip at the track though.

I thought this was an old post from over the winter or something, then I noticed where you're at. I guess your "project season" is the opposite of that in the North

And on your topic, I would not go over 6500 rpm on the stock bottom end either, 6300 sounds pretty safe to me.

With TEA stage 3 heads and an XE230 on my stock bottom end, I made peak HP at 6300 RPM, and we spun it on the chassis dyno to 6500 RPM. On the 3rd pull, I spun a rod bearing. I only had 42,000 on the stock bottom end. Now a have a forged and billet 396 in the works right now. I would not go past 6200 RPM again on a stock bottom end. Maybe I just wasnt on of the lucky ones

It's not only how fast you spin it, it's also how often you do. Parts fatigue. The closer you come to their absolute yield point, the more they fatigue and the lower the yield strength becomes. Eventually, the stress exceeds the yield point and it goes boom. So, can you take a stock bottom end to 6,500rpm once? Sure. But if you did it regularly, I think you would certainly notice the decrease in service length. On that basis, I wouldn't install an induction system that made peak power at more than 6,500rpm on a stock bottom end.

If I recall right, the LT4 had a 6,400rp redline and the bottom end was no different than the LT1. Since this was an OEM application with a warranty and all, maybe we can assume that at least 6,400rpm is "safe".
