I read I had to shorten my driveshaft when I get a 12-bolt....how do I go about doing this?

If you are going to take full advantage of the 12-bolt, with max. HP/torque, hard launches, etc. you would be better off buying a new, higher strength driveshaft, of the correct length. If you already have an upgraded DS, any good DS shop can shorten it, unless its carbon fiber..... . Steve Spohn makes a low $$ high strength steel shaft, Denny's has a good "nitrous ready" shaft, and Mark Williams can make you a 3" chrome moly piece with solid 1350 u-joints/billet yokes that will handle 1,500HP... just depends where you're going with the car.

From my experience, the Strange 12-bolt will work fine with the stock DS length. Its the Moser that seems to present the problem.

The Moser needs a shaft ~1/2" shorter, but you should measure for your particular combo. I tried to use the stock length shaft and found it would bind up on hard launchs, luckily I didn't break anything. I have used Denny's and shafts from Dynotech with good results.
