Every time I see your times it makes me jealous lol... Sounds like a good idea with the gas, I usually go with half a tank and just let it run down from there. That and the body panels and carpet seem to have helped you out a lot, I have no AC, took out some carpet and im at 3450 (with me in car, and 1/4 tank or so). I will have to go back to your pictures and see what I havent taken out :P

What do you mean by the body panels and carpet helping me out? I still have the interior panels and stock carpeting (minus padding under it), and want to get lightweight carpet at some point but haven't gotten it yet...

The most recent pics are here with the way it sat when weighed at the bottom. http://www.1slowformula.com/HVAC-rad...lete/index.htm

But essentially I removed:
- AIR
- Cruise Control
- TCS
- EGR
- HVAC and wiring
- PS pump (looped the stock rack)
- front swaybar
- Stereo
- speakers and wiring
- passenger seat and belt
- rear seats and seatbelts
- spare and jack
- catback
- all undercar heatshielding
- sound deadening/padding from under the carpet and from the firewall
- bumper supports
- airbags including all sensors and wiring
- a whole lot of clips, wirelooms, screws, nuts, and bolts from pulling all the above

Wow, I thought that list would have been longer...

Some misc things that added or removed weight already:
- 1" spohn Drag bar (added 7#)
- custom made CM subframe connectors (added 10#)
- racing batery (removed 18#)
- Vig converter (removed 5#)
- home made Alt relocation bracket (???, it added weight over nothing, but was needed and weighed less then the factory accessory bracket, so call it removed 2#)
- draglites (removed 15# or more, can't remember exactly)

I still have a few little things I can still remove in the future like:
- door bars
- washer tank/pump
- power antanae and bracket, if I can find something to fill the hole that would be left in te 1/4 panel
- hood and hatch shocks
- center console
- horns, or at least one of them
- underhood wiring for items no longer in use (the first list)

Plus the things that I need money for:
- front suspension (K-member, A-arms, and etc.)
- lightweight brakes, front and rear
- ABS delete kit
- Fibreglass hood
- manual rack
- manual brakes
- aftermarket coolant overflow
- lightweight seat

After I ever get to that point I will start cutting:
- Frame horns
- interior brackets (mounts for rear seats, seatbelts, and etc.)
- subfenders
- and misc, swiss cheesing

I'm sure there are things I have missed but that is most of it...

I thought I remembered seeing your pictures of gutting the car. I thought the body panels came off, but it sounds like I am wrong. How else did you get it down to 3190lb?

Sorry, I was editing the post above when you posted this question, but the answer is up there...

Oh the reason you probably saw the gutted pics was when I was pulling the HVAC stereo, and wiring out, but then later on that page the pics show the interior going back in, and you should see a date stamped for every pic...

Wow, thanks for the list. I am going back to track friday with new tune (pcmforless, obd1 conv), my new laptop to datalog, my brand new slicks (no more 5 yr old Nitto 555r's) and a new transmission mount. Some weight reduction would make it an even better weekend. How much did you really lose from the rear seats and seatbelts? I kinda wanna keep the pass. seat for friends/family to ride in it (no one else is allowed to drive my car)

Have you taken out the speakers yet? I am about to go do that and the rear seats/seatbelts, and the sound deadening under the carpet... sounds like a good day.

between rear seats, seatbelts, speakers, and such I would say that will pull 50+ out, I haven't weighed the rear seats or seatbelts in a while though since they have been out for close to 4 years now, so it could be more...

When you pull the carpet you'll see how easy it is to pull the seats, so it's up to you if you choose to pull the passenger seat, I used to pop mine out when going to the track and putting it back in when I came home, and I know guys who drive to the track and pop it out there...

I'm not sure what fuel pump you have but runing it that low isn't too good for the stock one since it uses the fuel in the tank to cool it. I suppose a few short passes wouldn't heat it up too much.

it's the stock pump, and hasn't complained yet and I have been doing this for a while. But as you stated, It never really runs longer then a minute or 2 while at the track, the longest runtime is the warming up after I get there and let it run for a few minutes, but there is normally about 2 gal. in there at that point...

Yeah it needs to be pretty much gutted to get the carpet out, but it really only takes about 30 minutes to pull the interior and carpet...

You should definately run 11's once it cools off and thats quick for boltons. Looks like you maybe spinning a little b/c you should be able to 60' a little better with the gearing and the 3500 converter. Later

So how much does a gallon weigh, about 8lbs? How much does a 94 gas tank hold by the way? The wife thinks I'm crazy because I'm going to pull the back seat and belts out. Then I reminded her that only one time in the last 8 years did anyone ever sit back there.
Another question if you don't mind. Is the box for the ABS the thing that is above the drivers side front splash panel? I think that and the cruise control ( which I never use) is on the list of things to delete. Oh, and is it very hard to turn the wheels if I have skinnies up front and dump the power steering pump? Thanks, Rick.

Gasoline is about 6 pounds per gallon.
