I ran a 12.8@108.47 (6000 DA) the other day with a 1.91 60', so the weather is getting better (at least in west texas) Hope your day goes good too... I just set my all time best

What tires? Do you have dyno numbers? Your MPH seems low.

I am not going to get into this again, the MPH is about right for my altitude, but no one understands how bad high altitude racing is. I have hoosier QTPs.

Do you like those QTP's? I might be looking for a set soon, and am looking for reviews...

Anyhow, today sucked due to weather...
with the heat and humidity that we had today and the altitude of the track I was running 12.37 @ 109ish with the current setup so I was down quite a bit from last week, but it was also 15* hotter and so humid that I don't think I stopped sweating all day...

I did try a 26" tire just to see what it would do for me, but the 26"ers were very old (~5+ year) Nitto drag radials , and I couldn't get them to hook. I was able to still run a faster time with them dispite the worse 60', but nothing better then where I was but damn good for the weather today and compaired to my runs with the 28" tires . So, now I just need a better 26" tire to try and see what that does...

Go borrow someone's 26" tires and go for it, you are as close as anyone else has come.
The air will be getting better and you will have it!!

Good luck and keep me posted, I just happened to look in here tonight....

sorry it ran slower, nittos are not the way to go. I went from a 13.2 to a 12.8 from nittos to these hoosiers, first time out. my nittos where also 5+ years old, 275x35x17s. I like the hoosiers a lot. I spun 2 of my 3 launches and stil got a 1.997 and a 1.91 spinning. My previous best was a 2.05 on the nittos. Good luck, and I say hoosiers, some say MT ET's... I think they are pretty similar.

Shon, I might be msging you within the next month or 2, I want nitrous and I know the clutch wont hold it. Tired of a manual anyways... and I like that price.

auto et better but wont trap higher...even with the best converter you still have more drivetain loss then a stick, rarely trap higher in a n/a no power adder situation...

good job man keep it up, i wish i could get my bolt on daily full weight to mid 12 with bolt ons...really just wanna cm it and run faster then the racecar did...somewhere in the 11.7 depending on driver mod...but ive got too many projects going on right now

Here are a few pics from yesteday...

The 28"er's getting a 1.655 60'

The 26"er's getting a 1.8xx (don't have the slip in front of me) 60', and ET and MPH were better then the run before it with the 28" tires...

thanks...

Oh and when I switched to the shorter tire I also gained about 2 MPH on Sunday, so I can wait for better weather and better 26" tires...
