If you want the hardest shift possible then go with a B&M.
TC has alot of differing opinions, if you have the money then go with a Vigilante or Yank, if you don,t have that kind of money then TCI or B&M would be a good choice.

I thought Trans-Go with the 3 washers installed had the hardest shifts. I've heard they will snap your neck if you don't have a torque converter installed at the same time. Actually shifts too hard and is kinda dangerous under hard throttle cause the car get's all squirly between shifts. Since a converter "softens" or make's our trannys shift "sloppy" the harder shift settings end up working out just perfect. Depending on what you plan on doing 2800rpm stall is about perfect for our cars. I'd recommend a Vigilante or Yank also, don't waste your time getting the cheaper models. You'll regret it later. Not that some people haven't had success with other brands, but those two are the best.

I have a TCI and have not regretted anything.
Its a matter of money if you ask me, are vigis and yanks good? Yes without question they are the best built and best performing but WAY too expensive for some of us.
There are quality converters out there that you don,t have to spend an arm and a leg on.
B&M will shift hard as hell everytime not like the Trans Go wich shifts hard under WOT.

B&M shiftkit will shift hard all the time everytime it shifts.
Trans Go modulates the shifts so it shifts softer at part throttle and hard at WOT.
The hypertech just ups the line pressure to make the tranny shift harder, a shift kit will modify the valve body so the trans does it internally, I think this is the best way to do it.

I would think they both could shift hard its just that the B&M will shift hard everytime it shifts, part throttle full throttle it don,t matter. Trans Go is a little easier to live with cause it only shifts hard at WOT.

You can buy a brand new completely bulletproof tranny good to 700hp/700tq for like 2G's. Add a Used Vig. stall for $500 bucks like I did and there's your $2500. A much better route in my opinion. Already has all the upgraded internals so you'll never need a tranny ever again. Then you can sell yours if it's still in decent shape and get some of that money back.
