Shaft mounted rockers?
i run the jesel shaft mount rocker arms. they are like 650 to 700, maybe more.. To me they were worth it.. i needed new rockers when i rebuilt and bigger studs, so i spent a few more hundred and got shaft mount rockers....later
Any increase in valvetrain stability is worth HP, but it all depends on the level you are at. Revving only to 6000 on a hydraulic you arent going to lose much in the rockers, especially if you get a good set of Promags.
On the other hand, if you set yourself up with aftermarket DFI and a solid and spin that bitch to 8grand, you will want a set, there is no decrease in valvefloat persay, since that is all based on spring pressure/rate keeping the valve against the head. It just strenthens the connection between the cam and the valve.
Do a search in advanced, there was a thread about this a week or two ago. some knowledgeable answers to the same question

Found it for ya, BTW crane and I believe comp even started making shafters for SBC, a little cheaper than the TD set

I'd definately go with T&Ds if I were getting a set again. Not only for the reason above but because the people at Jesel were rediculous to deal with.

I know a local guy with the shaft mounted 1.6 rockers on his SBC. He revs to 6700. He picked up almost 6hp at peak over the Crane Gold 1.6s. He did it mostly for strenth and stability though not for the hp.
