Service engine soon light is on?

My service engine soon light is on and when I ran the codes. One said ignition control (IC) module 4x reference too few pulses. The other code that came out was Evaporative emission control system incorrect purge flow.
Does anyone know how to fix this or what it is?
Any info would be appreciative

Please post the exact code numbers and some basic info about your car (preferably in a signature). Mind reading is quite difficult.

Re: Service engine soon light is on?

P1371 is not loss of 4X signal, its the loss of the low resolution pulse pattern from the Optispark. If the engine is running, its a "stored" code, because if its an active code, the engine will not run. It isn't unusual for this to show up once in a while, but if you clear it and it comes back quickly and frequently, it could be a problem with the Opti of the Opti wiring harness.

P0441 means the flow detector switch on the EVAP lines from the charcoal canister to the EVAP purge solenoid did not detect a vacuum in the system when the EVAP purge solenoid was opened. Could be a solenoid or lines plugged with charcoal, stuck solenoid, broken vacuum line between the flow switch and the purge solenoid, or between the purge solenoid and the throttle body vacuum connection.

I'll repeat what Shoebox suggested - add a "signature" with basic info about your car, so people can answer without asking for the info. You get much better results that way.
