service engine soon code 29

95 6 speed z28 threw a code 29 today on me. it comes on after a couple of minutes of starting the car everytime. code 29 is the secondary air pump. what can i do to get rid of the code. the airpump can be deleted anyways right? by the way i have a gutted cat. i tried pulling the air relay and that didnt help make the light go off. the car runs fine but the ses light has to go.

The fuse is probably blown. Pull the harness connector off the pump, put a good fuse in the circuit, and you are done..... no code or SES light. Only works on OBD-I.
