Sent this email to Comp Cams
I recently called Comp about a custom ground LT1 solid roller cam my builder got from them. I also mentioned that I purchased many other Comp parts to compiment the cam such as rockers, lifters, push rods, and their LT1 solid roller timing chain. I had a few simple questions about my cam specs and how it would drive on the street. The guy could not get me off the phone fast enough. If someone has no passion in their job they should not be doing it, especially when it comes to welfare of other people.
. He really believed there was no more power to be gained going custom. To top it off he said the car would not stay running with less than a 112 lsa - no matter what the size of the cam
How do all those BRE guys do it?? Must be El Breto's magic. Case in point ask for cam advice on this forum or pay for advice. Comp is useless but I guess we should be thankful the springs are being made in mexico rather than china.
All of them have blue stripes. The guy from PAC said batch #'s 29xxx and under are pac springs and anything above aren't.
The only pic I have of the box that they came in is too blury to read for sure...but it almost looks like my batch # starts with 24xxx
If thats true, then mine should be fine, right?

Me, "Thanks for the info Chris. I have some 26918's that were bought on 1/3/06 w/ a batch # 29120. Could you tell me if these were made by you or not?"
Chris Osborn (Valve Spring Engineer, PAC Racing Springs, 1-866-799-9417
www.RacingSprings.com), "bdc95ta - that batch code looks like one we use. That would be the last one we sent to them. Actually, I am impressed they have the batch code on them. You should be in good shape the=n."
I bought mine from Bret Bauer by the way.

. I'm pissed right now. I have batch #045338 and I purchased them in Dec of 05. Anyone what to buy some unused 918 springs? Let me know cause I'm not gonna use them.
read past posts , someone is returning a set of unused springs for a new set, not made in mexico. just call comp and tell them you have a set that fall into that batch series.
