My security light has constantly been on for 2 years. I have no trouble starting the car, it never blinks, etc. I have had my VATS disalbed though LT1 edit, will this cause the light?

Should I just take the bulb out?

 

You probably had a fault when the engine was already running. The VATS will then allow the car to continue to run and start and the lamp will stay ON (if there is a fault first detected when the engine is being started, then it won't allow it to start). It's probably the key cylinder like the post that was just above this.

You could try to extinguish the lamp by using resistors to simulate the key pellet resistance.
