Seafoam

I am getting ready to seafoam my car and I heard that it can often damage the o2 sensors. If I pull the sensors will the car still be able to start up? Should the holes be plugged with something?

Also do anyone know how hard it would be access the o2 sensors seeing as everything in the lt1 is hard to access? Where are they located?

Thanks
Decker

If you're going to pull out your O2 sensors to do your seafoam, why not leave them in there, do your seafoam and then replace them with new ones, its always good to have fresh O2 sensors. And yes I also heard that it is good to change your O2 sensors after a seafoam as it tends to push lots of "dirt" through them when you do it that could prematurely ruin them especially if they are already a bit used up and old....

If your o2's are in good condition and relatively new then you should be fine, but if they are old, i would consider replacing them after you do your seafoam :-)
