Question Sea Foam question...haven't seen this one yet

If I had a very slight intake manifold leak (Have always lost a little oil between changes) and used Sea Foam, could it clear up any debris that might be "containing" the leak and make it quite a bit more evident? Climbed under the car and have oil on the oil filter, above the filter, on the tranny, and oil pan toward the back of the car. Reach back on the manifold and have sort of a sludge on it. That part has always had "gunk" on it but a local guru type looked at it once and told me I didn't have the leak. Now have 103k on the odometer. Oh yeah, I'm now missing about a 1/2 quart of oil. No drips on the ground that I've seen. Thoughts?

Yes it can for sure. Well, actually you didn't specify weither you were using it in the oil or through the brake booster line. If you are using it in the oil and you have noticed that it is leaking a little more heavily than that makes sense. If you are using it through the TB or brake booster line than no that is not possible. More than likely you have the common Manifold leak. It isn't that terribly hard to fix. So have at it. If you have an M6 you're gonna want to change that before you toast your clutch.....

Thanks...guess I'll finally check into the !EGR and !AIR since the intake is buried under all kinds of crap anyways. Auto here, I just want my oil to stay in and my tranny to stay cleaner than oilier! I was using the brake booster method if that helps. Maybe it finally just got worse or something?
