Should I get new injectors???

I have 100,000 miles on my engine and I'm putting in stage 2 heads and a 221/227 113lsa cam with 1.6 rockers and headers. Plus I got the oversized valves and stuff. So should I be putting new injectors in. I'm getting my computer flashed anyways so would it be a good time to upgrade now. Or do I not have to worry about it. I just don't want to spend the money for nothing if you know what I mean. If I did are the 30# svo's a good choice.

Thanks

Sounds like a poosy cam to me

As far as injectors go, that's something you will have to log and see where the computer is as far as duty cycle is concerned.. Don't just go throwing injectors in cause you THINK you will need them

More than likely you will though..

Is that a crappy cam?? it going to get me like a 560 lift or so. I'm not going for an all out race car. Plus I need to pass emmisions. But is it seriously a crappy cam. The guys over at combination motorsports says that it's about as big as I could go and still pass emmisons. It should get me some Horsepower though, right??

i make some horsepower
i still have stock injectors. but i plan to upgrade soon.
i dynoed 356rwhp/349rwtq with a failing fuel pump. now i guess im in the 370-380rwhp area.

WERD, yea I didn't know people still worried about emissions

Anyways, that cam isn't too bad. It will definately make power but your 113 LSA is kinda goofy Hope you plan on boostin or sprayin it Oh well I'm sure you will be happy with it

that cam would be just fine for passing emissions........ ive seen bigger cams pass here in AZ on an "emissions" tune. as soon as i get my tranny back, i have to go through it. my cam is going to be about the same stats as yours...... hotcam, ported heads, 1.7 rockers. i failed a couple weeks ago, but im havin some fuel and ignition problems that im sorting out right now, and i think i can even pass on my "performance" tune.

BIg cams are nice, but you can make plenty of power with the smaller cams that have nice lift #'s.

I think it would be a good idea to replace ur injectors. you might want to wait until you get it back together and check ur duty cycle as was said b4. i have 106,000 on my car, and my injectors were at 82-84%, not that bad, so i went with some 24lb. svo's, which will flow about 26 or 27 lb/hr with the lt1's fuel pressure, which i think will be about right.

Yeah, you could definitely get away with bigger cam here in AZ. You should be able to pass with a smog tune with a 227/233, or 230/236 on a 112lsa. I am hoping to pass with my 306 after i tune it for smog. I am going with 30# svo's for my heads/cam setup, and they sound about right for you as well.

That cam is a good choice for emissions and streetablility concerns. It will still make good power, but you won't set any records. I'd be willing to bet that your stock injectors will handle the additional power. Once the work is done, get the car to a wideband-equipped dyno and find out for sure...
