I was wondering if a Scanmaster 2.0 will work for camaro's
like will any scan master work on camaros?

 

If im reading your question right...which I hope I am. yes the scan master will work for camaros as long as you get the one made for it. there are others that grand nationals use and its different but looks the same.

I'm pretty sure mine says "Scanmaster LT1" on it.

The original scanmaster was for the Buick GN/T-Type.

 

Mine says LT1 on the front of it too. I think there is diff. versions of them cause i think when my car first starts up it says like 1.8 on it or something i am not sure.

theres one for GN, LT1s and LS1s.

 

You need the "Scanmaster LT1". It will read the sensors and computer parameters in your 96, but will NOT read the trouble codes. The "LT1" version will only read trouble codes on 94/95 (OBD-I). And it will not work on the 1993 LT1 at all.

[edit] A quick check on the Ramchargers website indicates there is a LT1 version, LS1 version, L67 (GTP) version, and the original Buick Turbo version, which is the "Scanmaster 2".
