You mean, 1.6RR's and pushrods?

Sure, maybe 15hp. Some seem to come alive, others don't.

How many miles on your engine?

oh, ya thats what I ment, knew I was close.

theres 44k km on it, about 27k miles.
I have a ticking on the drivers side at the front of the engine, and its getting worse a little, when i first noticed it you had to really listen for it, now you can hear it inside the car. got a scope (like suggested in my other thread) and thats where the sound is coming from.
I wont be putting a cam in it for a while yet (over the winter), but if I could get this out of the way while I fix the tick that would be nice.
also once i get everythign out of the way install should be fairly simple right?

Install isnt that bad, but you do have to take out the spark plugs so you can fill your cylenders with compressed air so the valves won't drop. Not a big deal, but a PITA. And u have to readjust the valves when your done, which is easy.

I just put my engine at #1 tdc, and went through the firing order while rotating my crank 90 degrees at a time. That way, the piston is at the top of its travel and prevents the valve from dropping.

Also, the tick.. you might want to check your lifters just in case as well. I had one that was on its way out - no matter how much I adjusted the rocker arms and locking nuts, the tick would just keep coming back.

And get some new valvesprings too
