I don't know what you are doing wrong, but it should be the same every time. Never seen a post where someone could not do this. Maybe your posi is wiped out and you are getting slippage just turning it by hand, but that would be highly unusual.

I've ridden in his car and he does NOT have 2.73 in there right now. I should know, being plagued with them myself. I'm not sure if it is a shift kit and gears or what, but that thing frickin moves when you stomp on it. I'd venture a guess of 3.42 as well.
