hey guys,
just finishing up my heads and cam swap, i have cc 1.5 rr's and comp r lifters.
when i set the engine to #1 TDC and adjust the certin intake and exhaust valves and then goto #6 TDC and adjust those certin intake and exhuast valves....
the valves i did during #1 TDC are loose and stuff.... then if i turn the motor back to #1 TDC then valves are tight and then the #6 TDC valves are loose !!!!
arnt all the valves supposed to be tight?

you're better off adjusting them while its running, in my experience anyways. Get them reasonably close with the method you're doing, just make sure they arent too too tight...After its runnning and somewhat warm, loose the nuts till they start clicking then tighten back down until the noise stops, add a half turn or so and you should be set, might have to re-do that once you get some miles on it but that method has worked good for me. To block the oil from hitting the headers, a shield of aluminum foil works great

I advise adjusting one cylinder at a time since you have an aftermarket cam.

Time again for the Shoebox tech page:

I personally have always used Method #1 and it has worked fine
for me. I have been adjusting lash on hydraulic lifters this way
since 1979 with no problems ever.
