Re: Rods??

My guess would be probly not. But who knows. I'd replace them just for insurance anyways. Not worth doing it if you just have to do it over again soon.

Re: Rods??

To get some rod bolts to hold that power, you'll already be into a set of SCAT I-beam rods.

Re: Rods??

The two documented cases of LT1 PM rod failure I've seen documented occured at about the 600HP level. LJ at the para.noid website had some good pic's of his stock rod failure. With 18# of boost, you're probably looking at a set of Oliver billets.

Re: Rods??

I agree , with boost don't mess with the stock rods.

Buy the best you can afford.

If you can afford the Billet 4340 rods buy those, but if not I would make sure they are 4340 forged steel and are proven.

Since its a 350 and clearance is not a real issue Manley and crower (as well as scat and eagle) make some very nice 4340 rods with dowels, and cap screws for under 600 $.
