Rocker Arm Stud and Guideplate Installation??

Hey,

I just installed my gm guideplates and ARP rocker arm studs. I used arp thread sealant on the studs and torqued them down to 50 ft lbs, with the guideplates underneath with the open square shaped side for the pushrod to pass through, does this sound right??
Thanks,
Brandon

There is some stampings on the GM guideplates (maybe "05" and "P") that is the top side. They should be clamped down by the studs. The only thing I would have done differently is use threadlocker and not sealer.

You shouldn't tighten your studs until you get your plates aligned correctly. This is a little time consuming, but you want to make sure all your rockers are centered on the valve tips. Even the GM plates have a little lateral movement.
