Hey guys,

I recently replaced the starter in my '94 z28 115k miles. After doing so i found out my battery was also dead. Aftrer replaceing the battery and starter My car starts. Unfortuantely, it starts rough and it sounds like there is a piece of material in the engine bay being thrown around. Any ideas? im afraid to put it in drive and all i have done is had it idle for about 2-3 mins in park to see if it would go away. Other then that the car seems to be back to normal.

Check the starter gear clearance, as suggested in the other thread. Sounds like the gear may be interfering.
