Is a tune worth it for mid length headers/160 stat?

All
Just wondering if my car would benefit from a tune. 160 stat, mid length headers, ORP and catback. PCMforless is having a sale on a tune $99.
What do you all think?

1993 Pontiac Firehawk Formula

Of course, it will take advantage of 160* stat and numerous other features. Use Alvin @ the Mooresville location.

A custom chip will definitely be a plus with or without mods....... a close friend (bluebird) has a 93 z28 a4 with Longtubes, true duals,cai,160°stat and PCM 4 less chip managed to dyno 282HP 313TQ I think that's very good for minimal mods.....

Yes it,s worth it.Your fans activation will work in w/ the 160 t-stat & that orp definitely as w/o, your low-end torque suffers big time!

Not knocking your friends dyno numbers, but I had a 95 LT1 Formula with just
a Borla 2 3/4" y pipe and ORP, 160 stat, A4 and it pulled 281 rwhp and 302 rwtq on the dyno. I figure your friend should be close to 300 rwhp with longtubes.
Maybe mine was a freak or something. She ran high 13's all day long at 100-101 mph.

I am hoping my 93 Firehawk will dyno 295-305 with my current mods. Maybe I will dyno before the I get the tune. Then after.

What's an ORP? Off road y-pipe?

You should make a couple runs for a baseline and then change the chip on the dyno and make a couple more pulls. Why pay for two dyno sessions.

Thats a good idea. Sounds like a plan.

BTC- ORP stand for Off Road Pipe which takes the place of the single catylitic converter on 93-95 LT1's. Its a 3" pipe that bolts in between the mac y pipe and intermediate pipe. Basically its for the track, but alot of guys run em on the street if they don't have emissions.
