ride height
ride height
I'm running an Eibach drag launch kit and just had a BMR k member, upper and lower a arms and hals installed on the front end. The front ride height is approximately 3 inches higher than before I had the front end done. The car is level as it sits. Anyone running this combination - I would like to hear if you noticed a significant change in ride height and how it sits in the front end. Also any numbers on how it impacted your 60' times? Thanks.
I put in the drag launch kit with a new front suspension using poly bushings and KYB AGX shocks. My ride hight went lower not higher.
Like Shoebox said you have the Hals so you can adjust your ride hieght.
After all this I wish I had sprung for the Hals now, my car sits alot lower now, can,t even get my jack under it anymore without another jack further back to get it up in the air so I can get my big floor jack under the car.

Where/how did you set the spring seat height on the HAL's? Did you try to position the bottom of the springs roughly where they would have seated on the stock shocks?
Yes, it was higher in the back. The car ran fine with a best 60 of 1.59. It went down the track like it was on rails. The spring seats are now over half way up the shock. Much higher than originally. The installer was trying to get the car level. There is so much tension on the spring, you can't turn the collar to adjust ride height. I'm wondering if we should lower the seats back closer to where they were. Any advice would sure help. thanks.
I'm still sort of confused... but that's normal...
.
You want to lower the front end, so it has the rake, like it had before? So, you just lower the spring seats. What am I missing?
After I installed my HAL's with the Eibach Pro-Kit, even though I put the seats exactly where the stock ones were, the front dropped 1.8" instead of the 1.25-1.50" that was expected. After I got sick of clunking over speed bumps and small animals, I raised it back up to stock ride height, with the Pro-Kits still on. That put my seats more than 1/2-way up the threaded part of the shock.

If you are running LTs I would leave the ride height up there.
I am still trying to figure out how to get some more header room.
On the plus side it sure does pop the front end up when you goose it.
I am going to throw my stock salad shooters back on the front, they have an inch more diameter than my welds so it will help out till I can get the custom exhaust done.
