HOw hard is it to replace 2 bolt mains with studs?

I will probably end up porting and polishing my heads. How hard would it be to replace the 2 bolt mains with 2 studs with the heads off..?

What are the best studs to use that wont give me any trouble?

Just getting an idea before i dig in

I wont matter if the heads are off. The mains are on the underside of the block. At the very least you would have to take the oil pan off. Why would you want to do this anyway?

Oh you have to take off the oil pan huh... ah forget that... for now anyways. I want some stronger ones cuz its been a long time since my car has had 285hp and shes not getting any slower

Just wanted to see if I could add some stronger parts while the heads are off.

just for clarification the 2 stud bolts are what you are referring to and they stick out the bottom of the block and hold the crank in with the main caps that attach to the studs

the lt1 has 2 bolt main caps with bolts in them. they are not studs. you are thinking of the windage tray attachment stud.
