If you had Mallory Ignition module and a MSD blaster coil would the car need to be retuned?

 

Technically ...... no.

But, a lot of people on here will tell you that even a bone stock LT1 w/ no mods can benefit from a "retune."

 

Ok then that probably wouldnt be whats causing it to run rich. What is folks avg city mpg on an engine with 107k miles on it? How much does a retune cost

 

1 quick ? for you. How do you know it's actually running rich ? Just by smell ? If so that could be a few things, and w/o really knowing the background of your car, it will be hard to tell. It could be anything from the wrong heat range of plug (not burning enough fuel) to the catalytic converter being gutted and just smelling rich. A little bit more info would be useful !

Black tail pipes, black spoiler and only getting like 12mpg city. Also running very rough, more so after it warms up compared to cold.

 

Ok, good enough,lol. Now, What has been done to this car ? What kind of mods ? (It's kinda hard to tell by just "1997 Camaro Z28 Current Ride")

 

That part is not known to be honest. I am not the first owner and the guy I got it from didnt do the mods. All I know is K&N CAI, Mallory Ignition and MSD blaster coil
