Alright, everyone is confused on my car. Here's the problem car starts right up and turns right back off almost instantly. The car is in the shop right now. Computer scan seems to show a bad iginition ground, although my tech guy says that he has replaced the coil and checked the wires all the way back and seems to not be able to find anything. He thinks that it isn't a fuel problem has to be electrical, he hasn't been stumped yet but can't figure my car out. Other info i recently put another motor in my car and then had it retuned, after the break in the car began to file out a number of plugs at once almost every other time i would floor it, so then had it retuned and the right side header would light up red hot in a about 40 seconds. So again i sent it away to a new retuning place and they made a new chip for it and now it is where it's at now. just lights up and shuts right off. The car also has had all these recently replaced parts the distributor, the map sensor, the computer, the coil is aftermarket blaster coil. No one seems to have a clue really need help please respond and thanks.

 

I'm not the best tech guy, but maybe a clogged Cat? I would check that.

 

do you have any scanmaster readings?

What year car? What computer - OBD-I or OBD-II? Have you scanned it? Any codes?

Can we assume because it has a"chip" it's a 93? You can flash the ECM coded on the SES light if it is.

 

Car has no cat, it's a 93 Ta. Have scanned it was blowing 2 codes. One was the map sensor which confused me because i put a new one on like 2 days before i sent it away and then my tech guy said it was blowing that code, which dosen't make any sense at all and then he said that one of he's buddies fixed it or something. The other code was some sensor and i had that replaced and it didn't do a thing. All i know now is that my tech guy said that there's a iginition ground problem. I don't now if there's a code for that or not. Also what is VATS. The car has also acted somewhat like this before, the car wouldn't run unless u pedaled it and the idle control module sensor was bad replaced it and the car ran fine, but it didn't blow that code and i checked the sensor and it looked fine, it's fragile part and last time it was broke but this time it looks fine. I'm lost that's why i let someone else deal with it this time and he's lost to. If someone would let me know what Vats is that would be alot of help.

 

VATS is Vehicle Anti Theft System.

 

Really not thinking it's Vats now and also forgot to mention the car does or did have fuel pressure 52psi.

 

Might wanna try a new Tech guy....
