I am running 5-7lbs of boost with a aftercooler would like to run 9-10lbs of boost I see 4-5 lbs until 4k rpms and 7lbs about 5500 rpms would like to have 5-6lbs around 3-4k rpms and max out about 9-10lbs what size pulley do I need. I called MTI and ask them if I could run more boost they said yes but I would have to get it retuned first. they dont recommend running more boost without retunning. My motor 9:1 compression ratio. Do you think I could run a little more boost without having it retuned. thanks for any help..

 

Ask yourself this. Is it worth risking that nice engine and heads on not getting it retuned? Better safe than sorry.

 

His engine says it is built so i am assuming 10lbs is not a worry for him.

yup. anytime more boost is added, even 1psi you need to retune it...... or so i do in the dsm
