Retrieving SES Codes on 1994 Z/28
Retrieving SES Codes on 1994 Z/28
I suddenly have an SES code being thrown, and just realized the paper clip mod only works on 93's.
So, what are my options for getting it scanned? One thing I do have is a AKM cable I used to MADWOLF tune my car with my PC. Are there any free programs online that I could used to retrieve the code using my PC?
Madwolf, any options through you?
Thanks.

You can go to Advance Auto and they will scan it for you or if you already have a computer you can download Freescan (for free) at Andywhittaker.com. It will not only allow you to check your codes but will also allow you to gather various other info on your car.

Re: Retrieving SES Codes on 1994 Z/28
Using Freescan, which seems very useful, I got codes:
26: CCP Electrical Fault (ODM)
63: Right O2 Sensor failed
77: Fan 1 Fault (ODM)
Now the middle one, 63, I understand, but can anyone tell me what the other two mean?
I have a log of it saved also. It wont seem to run in closed loop for more than 2-3 seconds before it goes into open again.
Also if it helps the SES light only comes on when I am moving, it turns off at stop lights and when I am parked.
