Question Resetting the PCM?

I had an issue related to a bad battery. After I replaced it the car started, however it was running VERY rich and threw a code. This was the first time it ever did this. I am guessing it had something to do with the PCM being upset when connecting the new battery.
The problem has not reappeared since.

Is there any to reset the PCM gracefully without disconecting the battery? Does it have it's own fuse. If so where is it located?

Regards,
BILL

Yes it has its own fuse....remove it for 10 min or so and you should be reset.

Depends on what year your car is as to where the fuse is located. Look for PCM BATT. On a 1995, it should be under the hood and may say just PCM. Most other years, it is in the fuse panel on the left of the dashboard. 10-15 seconds is all it takes to reset the pcm.
