Hey guys. I have no where near the knowledge of cars as the majority of posters on this board. The information I need is: The proper way to of the PCM removal (Sending it to Ion for a tune). And when it gets back, what is the proper way to put it back in?

My mods include- TB bypass, K&N FIPK, TB Airfoil, Hypertech 160 thermo, Magnaflow exhaust system, stripped cats

Re: Removing PCM

The PCM is located by the right side shock tower and you should begin by making sure the ignition switch is off and the battery is disconnected. The PCM is secured by two bolts, remove them and remove the electrical connections going into the PCM and your done. With the new PCM, reattach the electrical connector and bolts, hook up the battery and enjoy.

Re: Removing PCM

Don't forget to take off the plastic braket on the PCM before sending it to Ion, there is a good chance it will break during shipping.
