Removing EVAP system, one way check valve in place of canister, or after?

With the limited street duty my car sees I want to get the engine compartment cleaned up some more.

I want to get rid of all the EVAP solenoids and associated lines under the hood. I'll have the codes programmed out.

My plan is to leave the vent line coming from the canister to underhood in place, but capped off inside the plastic loom case for some reason I decide I want to put the EVAP back in, you won't be able to see it.

Now, for venting the tank, can I remove the canister and place a one way check valve in place to prevent anything from coming back into the tank? I figure that's better than a filter. Or should I place a check valve in place after the canister, or is that bad or even a point to leaving it in..

Thanks!

I simply removed the canister, and put a "sock" over the hose that comes from the tank to prevent dirt from getting in. There's a pressure relief valve in the vent line from the tank already. From Shoebox's site:

Since I had already relocated the fuel lines, I removed the purge line from the engine compartment as well. The purge solenoid bracket also supports the gray Opti harness connector. I made a small polished aluminum bracket to hold theOpti connector.

I did basically the same as Injuneer except I placed a clamp-stlye K&N breather over the evap hose.

I can post a couple pics in about a week when I make it back home. Unfortunately I am out of town, and my Camaro is at home tucked away for the season
