rear main seal...again!
so i got my motor rebuilt about a year and a half ago, and the rear main ahs been leaking for almost 6-8 months now. typical i guess of the 1 piece rear main.
my question is
when i'm replacing it (done it once before and it seemed to be ok), are there any tricks to keep it from wearing out any faster, its such a PITA to replace, i dont want to be replacing it every other year. it's not the intake manifold gasket, i've already checked that.
so...what can i do to make it last longer, a perticular brand of rear main? a cerain way of replacing it? any help here is greatly appreciated, and i'm sure other LT1 owners know about the rear main leak too.
