Rear main making some noise
Re: Rear main making some noise
If it truely is the rear main bearing, you'll need a rebuild or partial rebuild to fix it. At a minimum the crank would need to be removed, turned and new bearings installed. Seeing that you're at 190K miles, I suggest a full rebuild.
Re: Rear main making some noise
well, my current situation wont allow me to do that..i know how to fix it but i dont have the means to do that right nowl..im in NYC and i dont have a driveway or even the same parking spot everyday....so pulling the motor on the street would be a big no no...not only that but this is my transportation....and im religiously against taking MTA, so this motor HAS to make a little longer....i havbe my carbed LT4 from my Trans Am that im trying to sell, so as of right now putting that motor in is out, although id like to, im seriously short on funds right now...so what im looking for is something to quiet it down to make it last to 200,000 then i should be in a situation were i could replace it
Re: Rear main making some noise
