Angry Rear hatch rattle, help!

It used to be over every major bump my rear hatch would rattle, like it's going to come open, but now it's over little bumps too. When I close the rear hatch, it's almost as if it's not sitting totally flush with the side of the car. It's like my rear hatch latch has weakened. Anyone know of a quick but good fix for this?

there are two adjustale rubber "screws" on either side of the hatch. adjust them to different positions and see if it makes it stop.

don't tape it, the tape is compensating for not adjusting the rubber "screws". Turn those out until the hatch fits snug but doesn't rise above the rest of the the car.

Cool, thanx for the replies. I didn't even know those "screws" were there. So I'll try that, then if it still rattles I try the tape. Thanks.

Not to ressurect a dead post, but adjusting those rubber bump stops did nothing to cure my hatch problem, I'm gonna try that electrical tape thing tommorrow and take a closer look at the hatch setup, maybe some WD-40 or something.
