Low oil switch. Go bad often?

Hey guys, the last 2 days my low oil light has been coming on. I checked the oil, and its been fine every time. If I turn the car off, and start it again like 30 seconds later it goes out. I've got about 2500 miles on this oil change, so I should be good for a few hundred more, but what gives? I know removing this part is super easy, I had to take it out when I did my headers. How much does a new one cost approximately? Any ideas why it is doing that? Thanks! -Mike

I believe they go out quite often. Mine went out about 4 months ago. I checked my oil and it was fine and i really didn't feel like paying 50 bucks for one which is what i have heard they cost. I just unhooked the plug from the sensor and took a resistor that i had laying around the garage and plugged it in just like the CAGS fix it worked fine. I am just putting in a new motor so i put a new sensor in finally. The new motor isn't related to the lack of low oil sensor if that is what your are thinking.
