Just as it says... I'm curious to see how mine compares to others with shorties, or mid lengths.

How much exactly does it cost to build a 'bulletproof' 700R4? And what components are put in?

Times in sig. SLP 1 3/4 shorties, 3650 raceweight. One day I might make a real race car out of it.

It cost me about $250, but the again, I do it for a living. I'll sell you one for $1000. Mine has been in the 12's for 3 years, and the fluid still looks like brand new....I built my buddys 4L60E 2 1/2 years ago, and it run consistant 11.0's @ 124 MPH.

It's not rocket science, but you have to know what parts to put in , and how to put them together correctly...And the last piece of advice throw away anything that says Trans-Go on it...LOL

I think most people go w/ the lt's that's probably why. I'm gunning for high 11's on motor and maybe a high 10 on the spray.

12scndz...How much for a bulletproof 4l60e w/ manual valvebody? I'm sick of having to program computer every time I want to play w/ the shift points. I'd rather just do it myself. Right now my tranny is getting rebuilt under warranty by a "performance" shop but it doesn't sound like it will hold up as good as yours so I would be best off selling it while it's fresh from the shop with zero miles on it. Let me know via pm or email at LTLHOMER@aol.com I know I talked to you before but I never asked about the specifics and now unlike before I actually have some money to throw around plus recouping the cost with a fresh 4l60e built by a local shop. Thanks and congrats on the times!
